When I post a question to Facebook, I often get great answers very quickly. It would be cool if these questions/answers were aggregated and saved.

blocks are good, but he REALLY likes vehicles... cars / trucks / planes / trains / etc. (preferably those whose wheels or tires cannot be pried off.)

Get him something that says 3+ on it. They handicap those age ratings to make parents feel that their kids are smart. He'll be bored with anything less but avoid small parts.
